What is Update Task?

Asynchronous processing where database changes are written by update work processes after a transaction commits.

V1 updates are critical and V2 updates are statistical. Failed updates appear in SM13 and mean the user saw success while data was not saved. Test scripts should verify persisted data, not just the success message.
