Your host
Been there.
Signed off on that.
I’m Matt Angerer. I started in SAP in 2002, configuring order-to-cash at Unilever. Since then I have audited SAP for the U.S. Army, Navy and Defense Logistics Agency, led global SAP testing for Honda, Mettler-Toledo and Tory Burch, built a global SAP Testing Center of Excellence from scratch, and spent nearly five years at Tricentis being sent into the S/4HANA programs that were in the most trouble.
I have sat on every side of the sign-off table: writing the tests, leading the testers, governing the defects, reporting to the executives making the go/no-go call, and helping vendors build the tools. This show is where I ask the people who make that call today how they decide.

Beyond SAP
A builder outside the day job, too.
Matt has been building his own products since 2011, when he co-founded VerticalRent. Building background screening into a rental platform taught him a lot about trust and about software people depend on. He grew it to more than 100,000 landlords and sold it in 2019.
That screening know-how became ScreenForge Labs and VolunteerBadge, which helps the nonprofits that run on volunteers keep children, families and the elderly safe. Volunteers in nearly all 50 states have been screened through it.
It also led to Matt’s other podcast, The Sign-In Table, where he talks with nonprofit leaders about the work they do in their communities. Many of them are profiled in VolunteerBadge’s monthly Impact Report.
Two tables, one idea: the people who sign in to serve, and the people who sign off on what ships, deserve to have their stories told.
