What is Business Downtime?
The period when users cannot use a system during an upgrade, conversion, or cutover.
Technical downtime and business downtime differ because business steps such as validation also take time. Mock conversions measure downtime to fit agreed windows. Exceeding the window is a go/no-go risk.
