What is Information Lifecycle Management (ILM)?
SAP functionality for retaining, blocking, archiving, and destroying data according to legal retention rules.
ILM supports data privacy requirements such as GDPR by managing end-of-purpose blocking and deletion. Policies are defined per object and jurisdiction. Blocking logic must be tested so blocked data is hidden but retained.
