SAP S/4HANA
What is Clean Core Level D?
Not-recommended extension techniques such as modifications, implicit enhancements, or direct writes to SAP tables.
Level D represents the highest technical debt in SAP's clean core model and the highest upgrade risk. Modifications require SPAU adjustments at every upgrade, and direct table writes can corrupt data consistency. Programs typically plan to retire or refactor level D objects.
