What is SPDD and SPAU?
Upgrade adjustment transactions for dictionary objects (SPDD) and repository objects and notes (SPAU).
During updates, SPDD runs before activation to protect data in modified dictionary objects; SPAU follows to adjust programs and notes. Decisions are recorded in transports for subsequent systems. Errors here can cause data loss or functional regressions.
