Finance & Controlling
What is Financial Accounting (FI)?
The SAP module for external accounting, covering general ledger, payables, receivables, assets, and banking.
FI records the legal books of a company code and produces statutory financial statements. Almost every logistics transaction posts to FI, making it a key integration test checkpoint. In S/4HANA all FI postings land in the Universal Journal.
