What is Actual Costing?
A material ledger function that calculates actual periodic unit prices by rolling up price and exchange-rate differences.
It is run at period end through the costing cockpit and revalues ending inventory and consumption. It suits industries with volatile prices. The run sequence and multi-level settlement must be tested with realistic volumes.
