What is Material Ledger (ML)?
A sub-ledger for valuing inventory in multiple currencies and valuations, mandatory in S/4HANA, with optional actual costing.
Material ledger stores inventory values in up to three currencies. Actual costing calculates periodic unit prices and revalues inventory and COGS at period end. Conversion requires migration of material ledger data, and the closing cockpit run must be tested.
