What is Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)?
CO functionality that reports profitability by market segments such as customer, product, or region.
S/4HANA recommends account-based profitability analysis, called Margin Analysis, stored in the Universal Journal. Costing-based CO-PA remains available but uses separate tables. Testing checks characteristic derivation on billing and settlement postings.
