What is New Asset Accounting?
The mandatory S/4HANA Asset Accounting design posting asset values per depreciation area directly into the Universal Journal.
It eliminates periodic APC posting runs and reconciliation between FI-AA and GL. Configuration changes are required during conversion, with prerequisite checks in the source system. Asset postings must be tested in every relevant ledger.
