What is Intermediate Document (IDoc)?
SAP's standard document format for asynchronous data exchange, with control, data, and status records.
IDoc types such as ORDERS05 or MATMAS05 carry business data via ALE or EDI. Status codes show processing results, with 53 meaning successful inbound posting. IDoc monitoring and reprocessing are central to interface testing.
