What is Extension Ledger?

An S/4HANA ledger that stores only delta postings on top of an underlying standard ledger.

Extension ledgers hold adjustments, simulations, or management views without duplicating all postings. Reports combine the base ledger with the deltas. They are often used for management adjustments and predictive accounting.
