What is Clearing?
Matching offsetting open items so that their balance is zero and marking them as cleared.
Clearing happens automatically during payments or manually via clearing transactions. Automatic clearing (F.13 or FAGL_CLEARING-based programs) is a typical period-end job. Failed clearing leaves overstated open items and is a common hypercare issue.
