What is Brownfield?
An S/4HANA transition approach that converts an existing ECC system in place, keeping data, configuration, and custom code.
Also called system conversion, it preserves history and minimizes process change. Technical effort focuses on simplification items, custom code, and data consistency. Regression testing of all processes is mandatory because code and tables change.
