What is Virtual Data Model (VDM)?
SAP's layered set of released CDS views (basic, composite, consumption) representing S/4HANA business data.
Released VDM views can be reused safely in custom analytics and extensions. Interface views have stable contracts. Using unreleased views risks breakage after upgrades.
