What is Software as a Service (SaaS)?
A delivery model where the vendor hosts and operates the application and customers subscribe to it.
Examples include S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Workday, and ServiceNow. Vendors control upgrade timing, so customers rely on regression testing each release. Customization is limited to configuration and approved extensions.
