What is Multi-Tenancy?
An architecture where one software instance serves multiple customers with logically isolated data.
S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and most SaaS ERPs are multi-tenant, while Private Edition is single-tenant. Multi-tenancy implies vendor-controlled upgrades. Customers cannot modify shared code.
