Master Data
What is Master Data?
Relatively stable reference data, such as customers, suppliers, materials, and GL accounts, used across transactions.
Master data quality drives transaction correctness, so most go-live defects trace back to it. It is distinct from transactional and configuration data. Migration, governance, and test data strategies all depend on clear ownership.
