What is IT General Controls (ITGC)?
Baseline controls over access, change management, and operations for systems supporting financial reporting.
ITGC testing covers user provisioning, privileged access, and change approvals and testing. Weak ITGCs undermine reliance on automated controls. ERP programs must keep ITGC evidence through cutover.
