What is Segregation of Duties (SoD)?
A control principle preventing one person from performing conflicting tasks, such as creating suppliers and paying them.
SoD rulesets define conflicting function pairs; tools such as GRC Access Control analyze roles and users against them. Violations must be removed or mitigated. SoD analysis is a go-live gate for role design.
