What is Security Audit Log (SAL)?

An SAP log recording security-relevant events such as logons, failed authorizations, and RFC calls.

It is configured with RSAU_CONFIG and read with RSAU_READ_LOG in recent releases. Audit teams require it in production. Log volume should be planned.
