What is Post Goods Issue (PGI)?
The goods movement that removes stock for an outbound delivery and posts the cost of goods sold.
PGI updates inventory, creates a material and accounting document, and makes the delivery relevant for billing. It typically uses movement type 601. Reversal uses VL09.

A physical or logical stock change, such as receipt, issue, or transfer, recorded in SAP with a movement type.
Billing Document
