What is Work Breakdown Structure Element (WBS)?

A hierarchical element of a project's work breakdown structure that collects costs, budget, and revenues.

WBS elements can be account assignment objects on purchase orders and timesheets. They are settled at period end. Status profiles control which business transactions are allowed.
