Testing & Quality
What is Smoke Testing?
A quick, shallow test of critical functions to confirm a build or environment is stable enough for further testing.
In SAP, smoke tests run after transports, refreshes, or go-live: logon, key transactions, interfaces, and print output. They are prime candidates for automation. Failing smoke tests stop the test cycle.
