What is Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)?

A monthly cross-functional process aligning demand, supply, and financial plans at an aggregated level.

SAP supports it mainly through IBP for S&OP. It produces a consensus plan that drives detailed planning. It is a business process more than a transaction, so testing is scenario-based.
