Manufacturing & Quality
What is Planning Strategy?
A setting that defines how production is triggered, such as make-to-stock or make-to-order, and how forecasts are consumed.
Strategies such as 10, 20, 40 combine requirement types and consumption rules. They are set via strategy group in the material master. The choice drives sales order and MRP behavior.
