What is Item Category?
A key that controls the behavior of a sales document item, such as pricing, delivery relevance, and billing.
Item categories such as TAN are determined from sales document type and item category group. Schedule line categories determine MRP and goods movement behavior. Free goods, BOM, and third-party items use special categories.
