Testing & Quality

What is Expected Result?

The specified outcome of a test step against which actual results are compared to determine pass or fail.

In ERP tests, expected results should include document creation, statuses, and accounting entries, not just success messages. Vague expected results lead to inconsistent verdicts. Automated checks need precise expected values.
