What is Custom Code?
Customer-developed ABAP objects, typically in the Z, Y, or registered namespace, extending or changing SAP behavior.
Custom code is the primary driver of S/4HANA conversion effort and upgrade risk. Usage analysis often shows a large share is unused and can be retired. Remediation, retirement, and regression testing should be planned from usage data.
