Week 4 of 8
Build the process library
Your strategy says how you test. The process library says what. On Fusion it is reused four times a year: every quarterly update starts with “which of our processes does this change touch?”
If you are coming from EBS or JD Edwards, remember this is a re-implementation, not an upgrade. Data moves through import templates, and processes change shape. A 20-year-old EBS customization is a requirement to re-test, not a script to copy.
This week: list your end-to-end processes and rank them
- List end-to-end processes, not screens: procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, record-to-report (including period close and consolidation), project-to-close, acquire-to-retire for fixed assets.
- For each, note Fusion modules and work areas involved, integrations, reports, SOX relevance and how often it runs.
- For an EBS or JDE migration, map every legacy customization and report to a Fusion design decision and at least one test scenario.
- Rank the top 20. They become your critical list for every SIT exit and every quarterly regression.
