Migration testing and sign-off card
- Four levels per object: rule and mapping, load, reconciliation, business validation.
- Rule tests: targeted records hitting every branch; unmapped values must fail loudly.
- Reconcile at every hand-off: source → extract → staging → target.
- Checks: counts, sums by key dimension, key attributes; per customer/supplier as well as totals.
- Finance: open items, stock by product and location, G/L by account, clearing accounts at zero.
- Business validation: deliberate plus random samples; usability tests on orders, items, stock, products.
- Classify findings: source data, mapping, extraction, configuration, load/sequence; confirm closure in the next mock.
- Exit criteria tighten per mock: technical → completeness → quality and timing → go-live.
- Sign-off record per object: key date, load, reconciliation, validation, open issues, owner decision and time.
- Agree final-load decision points and fallback before the weekend.
