Interface testing card
- Sketch each interface: hops, technology, direction, sync or async, trigger, monitor per hop.
- IDoc statuses: 03 sent to port, 30 ready for dispatch, 02 port error, 64 waiting, 53 posted, 51 not posted.
- IDoc tools: WE02/WE05 display, BD87 monitor and reprocess, WE19 test, WE20 partner profiles.
- Status 53 is not enough: compare the created document with the IDoc content.
- OData: check HTTP status, then values field by field; mind string amounts and V2 dates.
- Changing OData requests need a CSRF token; a 403 may be a missing token.
- Test categories: mapping, value mapping, mandatory, invalid, duplicates, sequence, volume, receiver down.
- Good error handling: safe, visible, understandable, notified, recoverable.
- Monitors: SM58, SMQ1/SMQ2, SBGRFCMON, /IWFND/ERROR_LOG, SRT_UTIL, middleware monitoring.
- Mocks early for SAP-side logic; connected end-to-end tests before go-live.
