Integration and End-to-End Testing of SAP Business Processes

Keep this: job aid

End-to-end test checkpoint card

  • Tag every test case with its level and cycle (unit, string, SIT1-3, E2E).
  • Select end-to-end scenarios by impact, likelihood and volume; cover step-level variants lower down.
  • One checkpoint per boundary: document created, message processed, posting reconciled.
  • IDocs: WE02 / WE05 to display, BD87 for the status monitor. Pass means the business document exists.
  • AIF: /AIF/ERR and /AIF/IFMON. Integration Suite: Monitor, Integrations and APIs. Cross-component: Cloud ALM Integration & Exception Monitoring.
  • Run book per scenario: named owner, time, batch jobs, checkpoint, next owner. Shared data sheet for live document numbers.
  • Blocked? Keep downstream steps moving on prepared data, and mark the chain incomplete.
  • Localize top-down: last good checkpoint, document flow, interface monitors, then logs (SLG1, job logs, ST22).
  • Evidence pack: document and message numbers with statuses, reconciliation, deviations with defect IDs.
  • Before sign-off, list unrun scenarios, bypassed boundaries and accepted defects with owners and dates.
