Transport release checklist

  • Know the route: DEV to QAS (consolidation, layer) and QAS to PRD (delivery). Ask Basis for the current diagram.
  • Every object in a transportable package; nothing needed lives in $TMP.
  • For each change, list every request (workbench and customizing), its owner and its import status.
  • Import All in queue order on a schedule; set an end mark to freeze each test build.
  • Single import only with Leave Transport Request in Queue for Later Import and a documented reason.
  • Transports of copies stop at QAS; final evidence comes from the original's import.
  • Read the RC column: 0 and 4 fine, 8 analyze, 12+ call Basis.
  • Fix in development, never by hand in QAS.
  • Before sign-off, reconcile release scope, QAS import history and PRD queue order.
