Conversion sign-off card

  • Know your path: conversion keeps history and processes; new implementation redesigns and migrates open items; selective transition mixes both.
  • For each simplification item touching your process: impact, business response, owner, test, training, date.
  • Redesign only where it removes real pain or custom code; defer the rest to after go-live.
  • Comparison set: trial balance, open AR and AP, stock quantity and value, assets, open orders, key master data counts.
  • Set tolerances before the first mock: zero for balances and quantities, documented rounding only where justified.
  • Validate in every mock conversion on a fresh production copy, not only in the final run.
  • Every difference gets an explanation, an owner and a decision: fix, accept or investigate.
  • Sign the converted process with comparison results, scenario results and the accepted-differences register.
  • At cutover, sign the business validation checkpoints before the system opens to users.
