Pre-test master data checklist

• Business partner: general data complete; customer or supplier roles present.
• Customer: company code data (reconciliation account, payment terms) and sales area data for the area you test.
• Supplier: company code data and purchasing organization data; bank details if payment is in scope.
• Product: basic data, sales views for the sales org and channel, plant and MRP views, accounting view with valuation class and price.
• Prices, info records, BOMs and source lists: valid on the posting date the test uses.
• Stock: enough unrestricted stock in the right plant and storage location.
• Finance: G/L accounts exist for the company code; cost and profit centers valid on the posting date.
• Write expected values (price, accounts, profit center) before you run.
• Tag every failure: process, master data, test data or user error.
• After a data fix, rerun the full scenario, not just the failed step.
