SAP GUI quick reference for testers

  • Before you start: confirm system and client in the status bar; check SU3 parameters (WRK, VKO, BUK).
  • /nXXXX replaces the current transaction (unsaved work lost); /oXXXX opens a new session.
  • /n back to Easy Access · /o list sessions · /i close session · /nend log off (asks) · /nex log off (no prompt).
  • Codes often end 1 create, 2 change, 3 display (VA01/VA02/VA03, ME21N/ME22N/ME23N).
  • Message types: S success, W warning, E error, I information, A abort. Double-click for long text.
  • Record failures with type, text, class and number, transaction and data entered; copy success document numbers immediately.
  • Reports: save a selection variant (input) and an ALV layout (output); name both in test steps.
  • Check the Fiori apps reference library for related apps; Public Edition business users have Fiori only.
